I Have a Dream Poster Series

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s motivational words “Let freedom ring!” encouraged his listeners with hope for a brighter future, a dream for a life built on the promises of the American nation. His speech told a powerful story of segregation, broken promises, and hateful injustice weaved into a call to look towards the coming dawn. The words “I have a dream!” rung in the hearts of all who heard. King’s legacy lives on and his words continue to insight hope and passion.

Now is the time to weave his words into a graphic narrative to reach an even larger audience. The I Have a Dream poster series recasts King’s speech as a sequence of dramatic compelling images designed to tell King’s story to a different and less defined audience using strong appeals to pathos, with specific visual and textual decisions to convict a more general audience.
